How Our Roof Requests Work in St. Louis, MO

Want a roof in St. Louis, MO or a nearby St. Louis County suburb looked at and priced in writing? That is why Roof Replacement St. Louis MO exists. We take the request and set up the visit; a local roofer does the hands-on work.

How This Service Works

Getting a roof priced can feel like a second job: looking up names, leaving messages, waiting. This brand exists to make that simple for St. Louis homeowners. One request, one visit from a local roofer, and a price you can read on paper.

We write about the roofs that are actually here. The City's Cultural Resources Office notes that most Queen Anne houses in the City are brick, because of the City's fire ordinance, local brick and skilled masons. Second Empire houses wore slate on their mansard roofs, sometimes laid in a pattern.

St. Louis County is a separate government from the City, and many County cities run their own building offices. Our town pages name the office to ask.

The Path to a Written Estimate

  1. You send a request. The form asks for your address, the roof's age and what you have seen. Sending it costs nothing.
  2. We read it and follow up. We reply to what you ask, then arrange a visit from a local roofer who works your part of town.
  3. The roofer sees the roof first. Before any talk of price, the roofer inspects, measures and photographs the roof. That inspection is the roofer's, not ours.
  4. The price comes in writing. The roofer gives you a written estimate. Take your time, compare it, and sign only when you're comfortable.

What to Ask the Roofer

Missouri has no statewide roofing license, so a ladder and a truck prove nothing. In the City of St. Louis, every contractor doing work needs a City graduated business license. Ask for it, and confirm it through the City's License Collector (City Hall, 1200 Market Street, Rooms 102–104). St. Louis County has no roofer license that we could find. Ask your city instead.

  • County town rules. Kirkwood requires a city Contractor's Business License. Webster Groves requires a city Certificate of Registration for permit work. In University City, ask whether the permit needs a contractor registration.
  • Coverage on paper. Proof of liability insurance and workers' comp before anyone climbs up.
  • A contract with every line. Tear-off, decking, underlayment, flashing and cleanup listed, plus a local address and past customers to contact.
  • Warranties in writing. Manufacturer and labor warranties on paper, and proof of registration for the manufacturer's warranty.
  • Permits and sign-offs. Whether the job needs a permit, who files it, and any historic-district, landmark or subdivision sign-off needed first.
  • Photos of the decking. Pictures of the bare wood once the old roof is off, before anything new goes on.

What This Service Does and Doesn't Do

We never touch the roof, set prices, write bids or sign contracts, and we stay out of insurance claim talks. Your insurer decides your claim. A public adjuster with a Missouri license can represent you, and a roofer can't.

  • Deductible deals or gifts. Missouri law bars a roofer from paying or rebating your deductible, or giving you any gift, credit or reward, for any reason. You pay your own deductible.
  • Cash only, or all of it up front. Either demand deserves a closer look.
  • Insurance-paid contracts. Got a written notice that your insurer won't cover some or all of the claim? Missouri gives you until midnight of the fifth business day after it arrives to cancel, and the contract must say so in bold.

Request an Inspection

Send the form when you're ready. We'll set up the visit; a local roofer inspects the roof and writes down the price. Every choice after that is yours.
